Have a couple extra Stith sets with screws. The screws are 6-48. Couldnt find my pitch gauge but did a side by side with a 6-48 from my Weaver scope screw kit and it matches up.

Been awhile and looks like some folks need to step up and order a shirt to get this done. Heck, over a months time we probably tip more than what these cost. I'll step it up and double my order to two (2) xxl .

I`m with you on this Jack. I`ve waxed my firearms for years but used good ol Johnson`s paste furniture wax. Have a 2 lb can that`s been around here forever. John, My first step would be to contact Joe @ Aperturesnmore.com He should be able to help you with the screws and may have the aperture for your sight. Measured one of my early Model8`s with straight stock. Without using calipers and just a straight rule it was 3.5-3 9/16 for the upper and lower tang. Without removing the stock it appears to be 1 9/16 between the tangs. Again eyeballed with a straight ruler. With a Silverhills stock you should have...

Not trying to create problem where none exists.Just caution about what I have had occur with old brass in the past. Glad you are happy with your find. The 'Dogbone" Rem and the Win Silvertips are of course "vintage" aka old. One caution: with brass being at such a premium you may experience split necks when you shoot them. I ran into that with a couple boxes of 30Rem Red/Green box few years back. R...
