Re: 25-35 Rem

Thanks 81.
Same grief as it had before. It fires everytime, load velocity matches factory speed but it won't eject the case. It is more like a straight pull bolt action right now.

Re: Who hunts with a 8?

I took my 25 out this fall for Whitetails. Had one mid 130's buck hop our fence after the does. Had to sprint 300yds to get as close as I dare to the patch of brush they went in. The does ran west again and not far behind was the buck, but still another 300yds off. I let him go and not 20 minutes la...

25-35 Rem

This one suprised me last winter on canadiangunnutz. Good thing canuck was sleeping or distracted..... My goal was to get one to represent the two I have so many pics of from the old days. By fluke it was the right caliber but older than the actual guns in my vintage pics by three years. T...

Re: Good websites to browse?

shiprex, Not sure which photos you are referring to specifically but a few Rich used are from my stash. If by chance you live in or have relatives from Wisconsin then we should talk! The one chap most prevalent in my old 8 pics is Martin Arneson, a Norske who left Wisconsin in 1907 and rode all the ...

Re: Favorite Model 8 caliber ?

25Rem is by far my favorite not because how good it is. More for how it was used in my family to put food on the table.
If I can get mine fixed and learn to shoot with these tang sight maybe I will connect with something too.
