The early 8's are my favorite. A lot of guys shoot modern Hornady LeverEvolution ammo. I've always personally shot Remington or Federal soft point ammo in mine. I think at this point, most people shoot what they can get their hands on.

I have the photos in folders on my hard drive. I have all the serial numbers in an Excel file. In total, the whole thing is about 1 GB. 150+ rifles w/ photos of nearly all of them.

We all have different opinions and that's good, but for me the FN 1900 is the "creme de la creme" of any 8/81 collection. The one you got is a BEAUT!

The powerhouse of the 8/81 family, the 300 Sav! This was always my favorite hunting choice, an 81 in 300 Sav w/ 180gr Core-Loks. Heavy hitting springpole...on both ends!

This is a rare opportunity. I did a little research on this. The magazine is stamped "013 2". The "013" are the last 3 digits of the rifle's serial number, and "2" is the 2nd magazine that came with the gun (POE rifles came with 1-3 magazines depending on the dept.). Ch...

This assembly picture show what seemed to be true of the exterior...this rifle was well taken care of over the years. Any FN in any condition is a rare collectible, but finding them in as nice condition as yours is especially sweet!
