Not a Remington but the Stevens 425 lever action was also chambered for the 25 Remington rimless. Probably scarcer than any other rifle for the 25.

Re: Remington Model 25 in 25-20

Those Remington 25's are neat little rifles. Look more like a 22 RF and I think they are neater than a Winchester 92 or Marlin 94 in the same caliber. I got one in 32 WCF about 10 years ago and like it so much I just had ro get one in 25-20. Been working up cast bullet loads for it this winter. Got ...

30-30 dies can be used to neck size 30 Remington cases. Not sure about full length resizing. Shoulder angles are different between 30-30 and 30 Remington. I have Redding dies for the 30 Remington so have never tried 30-30 dies for 30 Remington. You would need the 30 Remington shell holder.

I checked Henwood's book this morning. There at least 13 different barrel jacket markings and possibly 15 in the Model 8. Model 81 there are only 2 different markings. Jack check your gun safe, you might already have a set.

Adam, Check the ammunition section on this site. Might help date your ammo. If before 1930 they might be corrosive primers. In that case clean the bore as if it was black powder.I don't know for sure when non-corrosive primers came into use but my fragile memory says late 1920's.
