Re: Are Model 8s actually marked as such??

Well I guess the 1911 date (SN 247xx) is an early one also. The SN 247xx must have been returned to the factory for repair because the barrel jacket assy is marked "WRR3". It looks like it was repaired November 1946. I keep looking for Model 8s and Model 14s in 30 Rem because I converted h...

Are Model 8s actually marked as such??

I have 2 Remington Autoloading Repeating Rifles. One has a manufacture date of 1908 (SN 166xx) and the other 1911 (SN 247xx). I thought that they were Model 8s as of 1911. No where on either is stamped anything about models. They are not stamped other than a serial number on the bottom of the receiv...

Re: 35 Rem barrel nut washer.

Re: 35 Rem barrel nut washer.

I have a barrel nut washer if it is the one that is serrated. I bought it from NUMRICH years ago as a 30-30 Rem replacement for my Remington Autoloading Repeating Rifle. (pre model 8) The one in the barrel shroud/jacket was cracked/broken and the one I got from Numrich was the same ID as the broken ...

Re: New member from Texas

Thanks for the welcome. I made barrel nut tool out of an old steel spacer I found. The ID is 18mm and the stud is M6 x 1.00mm with a point ground on the end. Works well for a half an hours work.

New member from Texas

New guy from NorthWest of the Fort Worth area in rural Wise County. I don't actually have a Model 8 or 81 but I do have a Remington Autoloading Repeating Rifle ca. 1908. Chambered in .30 Remington I acquired it a few years ago during the 'Great Ammo Depression' as well as many other vintage firearms...
