Model 8 .30 , 1910

Picked up a well kept all original model 8 in 30 cal. Serial no. is from 1910.
I worked on a 25 for a friend a few years ago and always wanted one myself. Now I just have to load up some ammo to shoot.

Marlin Model 50 22 autoloader

A friend of mine just gave me an old gun that has been residing in his safe for years. It is a Marlin Model 50 22 autoloader and is in descent shape but is missing a couple of parts. It seems there is not too much information out there on these and they are relatively rare. Made between 1932 and 193...

Re: Wood Spacer

I know this is an old post but I'm a new member and upon taking apart an early 25-35 in 11,XXX range (1908), I also found an oak spacer instead of a buffer spring. I did not however find a split washer behind it rather just the wood spacer against the internal stop and then the spring cage and sprin...

25-35 buffer spring

I'm new to the forum and have a Model 8 in 25-35 caliber. In disassembling the rifle I find the buffer spring and barrel nut washer are AWOL. I would like to get this otherwise fine rifle back into service but have come up empty in trying to find these items. I can make the barrel washer if I can't ...

Hello from the Pacific Northwest

Just found this forum and it looks like a great place to spend some time and talk about a wonderful old firearm. I am working on a very nice Model 8 in 25-35 caliber with serial number that indicates 1908 production. I am just getting well acquainted with it and am sure I have much to learn from the...
