Re: LEE LOADER
I have use a lee loader in the past for my 30-40 krag, great loader for just getting into it. keep in mind they only neck size cartridges and you should only use brass fired out of your rifle and then only shoot it out of your rifle. (as they are fire formed to your chamber). I thought they were onl...

Re: first shots out of the new to me rifle
I love it when a plan starts to come together. I converted a bunch of 30-30 win brass to .32 rem on the lathe. annealed the case necks and ran them through my rcbs 32 rem dies. got some bullets cast with the lee 8mm mold i bought. crimped on 8mm gas checks and sized them to .323 with BCS lube and th...

Re: marbles peep sight price?
i just purchased one on ebay for 162$ and i felt like that was a lot for a tiny little sight. That got me thinking about the VALUE of a new one. with current gold at 1300$ per oz, my sight cost .124 oz of gold. if the original cost was 3.30 in 1918 when gold was 19.00$ per oz then it originally cost...

Re: Marbles sight?
the one on my model 14 was pretty tough when I first went to adjust it. when you turn the collar it pushes the little eyepiece stem up or down. It seemed to help to grab the stem and pull up on it then turn a little then pull up then turn a little or down and turn and down if that is the direction y...

first shots out of the new to me rifle
picked up my new (to me) model 8 at the FFL yesterday and got a bit of time to shoot if before work today. Big thanks to sarge756 for getting me set up with a rifle. I only had 8 rounds that are new enough to be at all accurate but of course I was itching to try out the new rifle. shot 4 at the 100 ...

Re: shooting .32 Rem FN verus RN in Model 14's: NO!
I haven't got a chance to load for my .32 yet but for what it's worth the lee c358-200-rf bullet works good in my 35 rem model 14 and it's a flat nose. I did note that casing overall length was key. if I try to lengthen it up the bullet sticks out into the rifling and can be hard to un-chamber as it...
