Attached are the Bbl jacket codes and SN of my Model 81.

Can anyone decipher the codes for me?

I visited a couple older gunshops today and scored three boxes of Remington brand ammo. Two modern production and one vintage box that looks like it dates to the 60-70's.


There was also 2 boxes on 30 Rem on the shelf.

The SN is upper six hundreds. I was told it was a 1936? gun.

I'll get a pic of the markings later.

The rear of the receiver has a screw hole in it from a peep sight, so the gun isn't virgin.

Range Report. I fired a few rounds at 50 yards to make sure the sights we ok, then I moved the target back to 100 yards.
