Model 8 with solid rib on barrel?
Would a 1909 model 8 with a solid rib along the barrel, be a gunsmith job or could it be ordered as a factory gun? I believe it is a model c with checkering and nice wood? Found it at show, might go back tomorrow and was wondering if anyone saw one before?

Re: How to de-cock a Winchester 1907?
I don't plan on shooting it again so should I store it with the hammer back or dry fire it only once? I wouldn't want to leave a snap cap in it permanently.

I just want to de-cock it for storage. I guss dry firing it once shouldn't hurt it. I just remember reading never dry fire a rem. Model 8. Didn't know about the win. 1907.

Yes I am going to reload, but brass and bullets are just as hard to find as loaded ammo, at least for now.

Model 81 woodsmaster with factory scope mount holes?
Was at a gun show and a person had a model 81 that he said had factory mount screw holes for a scope and that you could order them that way. He said gun was made in 1937. Was wondering if this is gun show bull or it's true.
