Re: Mainspring Screw help
I was able to get it back together after dropping the trigger housing, it wasn’t difficult at all. Thanks to all for the advice.

Remington model 8 with no caliber marked.
How common are Model 8’s without the caliber being marked on the gun and WHY?
I have run across a few and just recently someone was asking on another site why.

So a member of my gun club stopped by my house since he knows I have a few Remington 81’s and one model 8, turns out he decided to take his 81 apart to clean it. Well he removed the Mainspring screw thinking that it held the stock on, now he can’t get it back in. I’ve looked it over but have never t...

I had luck with Numrich Arms/Gunparts Corp years ago when I was working on a Model 8 project but these days they don't have much fo...

Flea Market Remington 81 in 35 Rem
I have a Remington 81 in 35 Rem that I got at a Flea Market years ago for a steal. I paid $120.00 and walked away with a giant smile and a great gun, the seller named the price and I couldn't get the money out of my pocket fast enough. There were three guys waiting for me to put the gun back on the ...
