Re: 30Rem and 32Rem brass

All a person has to do is PM me with cal and quantity. The Rem cases I do all the time, meaning when I get requests for them I make them up as the request comes in. I always have the parent cases, always have, I just don't convert a bunch and have them sitting on the floor just collecting dust. I di...

Re: 30Rem and 32Rem brass

With the 38-55 brass I have I scraped out a good dozen trying to convert those into 25Rem. The 30 and 32Rem didn't have an issue being converted. So the 25Rem I still do but those are made from Hydroformed 1x fired 30-30 cases. Those 35Rem cases I do are made from Mil brass, much thicker and stronge...

30Rem and 32Rem brass

For you folks that can't find any here's your chance. These are made from "NEW" 38-55 Starline brass, so when a person receives them they're getting brand new brass, just converted. These do get annealed so when a person receives them all they need to do is load them up and go bang. These ...

Re: 308 Brass to 35

On the brass I convert over, at first, was more of request from folks on other sites knowing what I can do and finding something along the lines of Unobtanium at the time. To be honest I've spent a lot of hours developing a technique that will produce consistent results and performance. Folks that r...

Re: 25 Remington from 30-30 Winchester

Not only do those 25Rem get Hydroformed, but so do the other 2 Rem cases I do. Here's a link to a thread I made on most of the process. Notice I said most....on the 25Rem I reduce the neck diameter first before Hydroforming, which is a must do. http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?292645-H...

35Rem Brass

Recently folks from here have been getting brass from me, but I just wanted to say it can be done here. Even though I mainly hang out on another site I have it set up so when folks PM me from here I'm notified and I've always gotten back with folks. I have a thread on that site, please read it caref...

Re: Cross section picture of my 25rem

Keep in mind.......when fire forming the amount of "SUDDEN" expansion doesn't always give great results. Whenever pressure is applied in a confined space the pressure will always want to go to the weakest point. Without proper inspection equipment never try to gauge things by the naked eye...

Re: Annealing the brass

With the volumes I do I needed something simple yet effective, sooooo......in came the Ken Light annealer. I liked his concept behind the design, brilliant yet simple. With the annealer I can do 1K an hour but the draw back is feeding the machine as it goes. I'm to much of a tight azz to hook up a c...

Re: 38-55 reloading help

I'm sorry to say this but your going to have to do 1 of 2 things. The neck in your chamber can't handle the fat boolit so your either going to ream the necks or turn the necks, no way around it.

Re: Making .32 Remington Brass

I look for the simplest way to get things done, 30-30 brass is cheaper and more plentiful than 32Spl brass. What's nicer is when something happens along the way that ruins the case, I don't get all that upset about a .15¢ case and the 32Spl cases cost more than that. I messed up more than a few when...

Re: Long wait for brass

OK now I get it. I try and keep things on the simple side, meaning it's difficult to get the form just right and they do get dull. If I was still working in aerospace I would make the form on the surface grinding wheel and make it. Now since I live so remote I use a different tool per each operation...

Re: Making .32 Remington Brass

Lathes are 1 thing, they could almost just give you the machine it's the tooling that costs.

I would look into using 30-30 brass instead of 32 Win brass.

35Rem is only made seasonally, not all year round. If and when you find some do yourself a favor and stock up, or learn to reload. Brass from what I've read is no longer being made by Remington, could be cyber rumor I don't know. Winchester I have no clue about. I kept getting asked about doing the ...

Boy your a fast 1 Sarge. These have all the work done to them alright, and these have been in use for a year with no signs of wear. Folks that have them love them. When's the last time anyone priced the 35Rem brass lately? The reason folks get them from me is they can't find them, order them, and if...

I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the cutting tool for the 32Rem your talking about. All I do to make them is run them on my lathe and then form them.

I would love to have a 32Rem case, I would like to be able to verify the gauge dimension with it. Not loaded though just the empty case actually, I don't own anything in a 32Rem so a loaded round would be a waste. Here's a link I have on another site, just click the link and click the proper thread,...

As far as field testers are concerned, I think just over a dozen is enough. All I'm doing is waiting for them to get back with me. I keep forgetting not everyone lives like I do, where a trip to the range is out the front door or back door depending on what I feel like. Lots of folks have to go to t...

I finally got around to signing up and joining the crowd. What got me was reading this thread and folks not being able to get what they need/want. That's pretty much the only reason I extended the conversions I do into the Rem cases. Let's face it they can only last so long and I don't see any relie...

Re: Long wait for brass

This may sound strange to some folk but I'm currently making all 3 of the older Rem cases. Talk about a tedious task when it comes to making the 25, 30, and 32Rem cases, what's worse is I had to make my own gauges for them. Here's a link of what's going on with them as of right now. http://castbooli...
