Think that's bad some of the German claw mounts are brazed to the "ring". If they are N2 filled it has to be after the optic is mounted & fitted to the barrel. Scope is surgically attached.

I've seen 2-3 of the bbl washers with stamped notches on both sides, they were some made that way. May even have one in a rifle still. It could have been traded though. Just for the record there is a video of Cam getting a stovepipe jam. It just flipped up out of the rifle & landed right back in ejection port. :lol: :o :shock:

Be very careful w/ primed cases.
=pull bullets
=dump powder, I don't suggest reuse
=pop primer in the rifle
=anneal; torch or leadbath, drop in H2O
=reload
Note: I've found almost none of new brass is right on neck thickness. A turn w/ an outside turner is good for accuracy

Amazing how those parts interchange on precision rifles designed & manufactured a hundred years ago.
Try doing these repairs on the majority of others of that vintage & there would be hours to days of hand fitting to the parts "close" to working.

Put them in your walnut hulls they clean right up. Shiny!! Course your media will have some oxidized lead in it. Shake not stir in a large strainer outside with a Covid mask on to clean up most of the dust...

For this type of problem I have found the left spiral EZ outs to be most effective. Rigid makes them, Proto, & others. Just DO NOT get the L Cheapo chinese steel or Harbor Freight brands, they are too brittle & will break off in the hole. A good T wrench like for taps is also mandatory for t...

when you get the tube, don't use red or blue loctite on threads, too much chance of peeling thread.
Loctite makes a small screw formula that is great for sights & stuff, I just forget the number. I've posted it in other threads just search mine for loctite.
