What way does the spring go in my magazine for my model8. I forgot what is front and back.

At a gun show this spring I just bought a Mod 8 in 32 Rem. Really nice with a Marbles R8 on the back. I walked out with it for $300.00 and a box of old Silver Tips. The price increase hasn't caught on up here yet.

I found one at Jack First

I found an extractor from Jack First, got it today and put it in and it works like a champ. But now I see I need a magazine side spring, left side as the little nub fell off the bottom of the spring. If it isn't one thing it's another.

I'm in need of a magazine side spring for a Rem 81 ( left side) if somebody can help me out. The little nub on the bottom fell out. I still have it but I'm not sure how to keep it fron falling out again. There isn't much to work with. Thanks, Randy

After I read my own post it seems as if I'm on my 7th extractor. No, it is the first time I've had an extractor problem. It's my 7th Remington 8 or 81. My bad

I just bought a Model 81 in 30 Remington but it has some kind of cheap extractor and it doesn't pull the case out. This is the 7th one I've had and the extractor doesn't even come close to working. Does anyone have an extractor for a 30 Remington Model 81? Thanks in advance, Bluto
