Sounds like you do have a NICE dilemma: a fine used rifle. I have a couple rifles that would easily fit into your description - they are fine shooters. Sounds like a keeper to me... dying to see pictures

Nope, not normal as to your safety manipulating to get it to fire and all my safeties operate easily. Unfortunately I can't tell you what your problem is either - never had that one. Enjoy the adventure inside and keep us posted as to what you fine.

Sounds to me like you did good both on price and condition as a shooter - normal types of issues. Unfortunately, being from two different guns did not help it's value - that's for sure.
