Hey Hcompton79,

Thank you for providing the link. It is one of the best videos I have seen showing the operation of the model 8. I wish that I had seen it 40 years ago. It certainly helps to explain haw the rifle’s internals are suppose to work.

Hey Todd, Definitely not original issue and yes you are missing the original takedown screw and ferrule. Check some of the pictures on the forum to see an original takedown screw and ferrule. Re: Mainspring Screw help

You may be able to get the screw back in by taking an awl or punch and inserting it in the tang and gently rotate it to get the thin metal shim to align with the hole in the tang. It doesn’t take much movement of the shim to get it out of alignment with the hole in the tang. If that doesn’t work you...

Hey Tommy, I am not sure what you mean by “modified 5 round mag”. If you are referring to the Krieger magazine, the answer is no. The P0E company did make some 5 round magazines for the police models. The Connecticut State Police had the 5 shot POE mags for their rifles. Every once in awhile a 15 sh...

Hey Cryano4747,

With the bolt assembly resting on a flat wood surface, use a steel punch as close to the same diameter of the cam pin and strike the punch firmly with a hammer and the pin should free itself from the bolt. I have used this method many times and it will work.
