Thanks 81police I just got talked to the owner of that model 8 up in Iowa and he said that on the side of the barrel shroud is marked DOC and thats it could it be a prison guard gun? It is pretty sad looking , very rusty . Do you think it would be something to get anyway? thanks buford1769

Finally Got Her Done Thanks For The Help 35Rem

35Ren Thanks for the info on finding the forearm for my Model 11 I finally got her done after a ton of sanding and whittling ,finishing . The stock came for Numrich and looked like a beaver chewed it out,boy was it oversized. I striped all of the rust off of her and here she is . THANKS GUYS

It might of had a good chance. My old Marine buddies and I go out to the range and try to out shoot each other with old military rifles and the old Model 8 does just fine and if it just had a 30 rd mag :D :D It for sure out proforms the SKS .Hakim which would jam up in rapid fire, the old 8 did not....

35 Rem Thanks I got on yesterday had to use my friends computer . It was just my computer,It's time to upgrade. But I did get a very nice walnut stock from Numrich ,thanks to you a forearm keeping my fingers crossed.

35 Rem Is there a trick to get registered on gunbrokers.com everytime I put in my e-mail and card # I get kicked off,starts all over again at the begining of the registration page. Its probally me doing sum thing wrong, :cry: :cry:

Welcome Iam new here to and these guy's know their stuff. That one nice rifle ,I've had my 1908 model 8 for a week now and I can't put it down yet .If ya haven't shot it yet hearing protection is a plus.Because it will wake them up at the range. :o
